A female footballer has been suspended indefinitely by her team after one of the dirtiest performances ever by a female player. Defender Elizabeth Lambert was caught on video elbowing her opponents and tripping them up, sometimes off the ball. She was also filmed yanking the ponytail of one, who went crashing to the ground. Amazingly, she was not sent off during the 1-0 defeat. It happened during a college match between the University of New Mexico, and Brigham Young University. Lambert, who played for UNM, is now being billed as one of the foulest players in the history of women's football. She later apologised in a statement, saying: "My emotions got the best of me in a heated situation."
